Mrs. Debbie Jordan
Assistant Marching Band Director
Mrs. Jordan is a native of Newberry, SC. She graduated from Newberry High School where
she was a student of Ms. Lorraine Paris. Mrs. Jordan earned her Bachelors of Music Education from The University of
South Carolina and a Masters of Education Administration from The Citadel. Mrs. Jordan is the Director of Bands at West
Ashley Middle School. She has worked with the West Ashley program for 21 years. Middle school bands under
her direction have consistantly earned superior ratings at state and national events. Mrs. Jordan is recognized as one
of the most outstanding middle school directors in SC and throughout the southeast. Her bands have won NAI competitions
in Chattanooga and Atlanta. Mrs. Jordan serves as an active concert band clinician throughout SC, NC, and Georgia.
Currently Mrs. Jordan serves on the Executive Board for the South Carolina Band Director's Association as Secretary.
Robby Ammons
Colorguard Coordinator
Mr. Ammons is a native of Canton, NC. He currently resides in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Ammons has been the
Colorguard Coordinator for the Middleton/West Ashley Band for eight years. Robby is a former cast member of High
Steppin' Country. Mr. Ammons has a degree from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
He is currently the guest service manager at Planet Hollywood in Myrtle Beach. Robbya68@aol.com
Weston Watson
Percussion Coordinator
Weston is originally from Marion, SC and moved
to Charleston in 1983. Weston is a graduate of Hanahan High School. He has worked with Hanahan,
Berkeley, & West Ashley High School drum lines. Weston is a music education major at Charleston Southern University.
In addition, he is the percussion instructor for the Charleston Southern Marching Bucs. Outside of CSU, Weston is a
member of the Low Country Wind Ensemble under the direction of Sid Haton.
Mandy Sexton
CSU Student Staff Assistant- Brass
Mandy is a native of Barnwell, SC. She graduated from Barnwell High School in 1999.
Mandy is currently a junior music education major at Charleston Southern University. She is principal trumpet in the
CSU Wind Ensemble and band captain of the Marching Bucs. She also performs in Chamber Winds, Jazz Band, and Pep Band.
This is Mandy's fourth year working with the West Ashley High School Band.
Casey Gooding
Marching and High Brass Instructor
Mr. Gooding is a native of Harlem, Georgia. He attended The University of South Carolina. Mr. Gooding's accomplishments
include performing with The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corp and being a cast member of Blast! Mr. Gooding works for Music &
Arts and also teaches private trumpet lessons in the Charleston area.
